M V “Bay Connections 1”

NOVA Cruises vessel, “Bay Connections 1”, is a 16 metre fibreglass semi-hydrofoil planing catamaran. Constructed in South Africa, and fitted out in Fremantle Western Australia, the vessel was designed to operate in waters up to 300 nautical miles from the coastline. Having been constructed to this standard, the vessel is extremely zippy and stable… perfect for combating any swell and making whale watching experiences comfortable during May – November.

The vessel has two levels consisting of a main saloon with integrated wheelhouse, licensed bar, restrooms and an upper sundeck with seating. This catamaran can pleasantly take up to 45 passengers through the fascinating changes of the Hunter River… urban Newcastle to the Hexham wetlands and rural farming lands of Raymond Terrace and Morpeth. Not only open to public cruises, this vessel is perfect for private corporate entertaining, hens or bucks events and school groups learning about the coastal elements of Newcastle and the Hunter River.

“Bay Connections 1” departs and returns from Harbour Square, just in front of the Newcastle Rydges Hotel and Honeysuckle.
